Moving and still.

Working a series of images at the moment round power, it’s creation and its uses in Ireland at the moment and I took this in the Ox mountains here in Sligo a couple of weeks ago.  There wasn’t a breath of wind that evening so the windmills are becalmed.  Its a long exposure, a few minutes , a you can see that the little breeze that there was has moved the grass around and also affected the colours.

Wonderful, the colours are so subtly captured – thanks for explaining how you achieved the effect with the long exposure!

I like the movement in the foreground…. I was sooting in a snow storm in W.VA on a ridge an could not for the life of me figure out the windy hum I heard until I made it to the ridge and found a line of wind turbines… not something I am use to in the middle on nowhere.

  5. Spectacular. You have captured the anticipation of movement so well!

  6. This is a beauty, Brian. Great move to go with the loooong exposure. We have TONS of wind turbines in southern Alberta. Love photograping them! :-)
