As a creative photographer do you ever wonder where you can find good photographs? If so you’re asking the wrong question! Its not where but how to find them! The truth is that they exist all around us but to see them you have to change the how you look, how you see. To see the way a professional sees you must start by developing the mindset of a professional photographer.
Most of us look without seeing because we spend so much time rushing around from one thing to the next being busy. It is not the camera that makes a good photograph it is the brain. Try it for yourself. Take a few minutes out of your busy day, use your phone, set a timer for say 5 minutes. Now take three deep breaths counting to 4 as you inhale and exhale slowly for a count of 5. After your third deep breath look around you and start to notice the light, the colours, the flowers, the people…. before you realise it your timer is telling you to move on, carry on rushing, back to the grindstone. Repeat regularly to stay sane.
